The contract between the HSK and the Medizinische Zentrum Geissberg applies to the following disorders and indications:
In addition to these treatment focuses, patients suffering from psychophysical exhaustion as well as acute and post-traumatic stress reactions of any kind can also be admitted.
The severity of the disorder should be moderate at the start of treatment. Patients must be able to care for themselves. For neighborhood-based therapy, they should also be able to appear at the Medical Center weekly or daily, depending on the program, and attend external therapy offerings.
The employment status includes both work capability and incapacity. The employment status of the individual includes any level (from disability pension to unemployment and education, to part-time or full-time employment).
Concept of Local Care
Patients should – if possible – reside within the catchment area of the outpatient psychiatry. This ensures cooperation with pre- and post-treatment doctors, social workers, employment agencies, and other institutions involved in the patient’s treatment, both during and after the outpatient day clinic treatment.
The concept of local care also includes contact with family members. This way, patients can immediately apply and discuss what they have experienced and learned during the day in their natural, home, and familiar environment in therapy.
After the completion of the outpatient 8-week day clinic program at the Medical Center, patients typically return to the doctors/therapists who were previously involved in their care.
If the patient has no corresponding reference framework, we also offer individual and group care beyond the 8-week program during the day and in the evening.
