Registration
As a patient, you can contact us directly to schedule an initial consultation. In this case, we ask that you inform your doctor or therapist that you are considering therapy with us.
We place great importance on providing comprehensive information about our services and our work.
Typically, we conduct two initial consultations aimed at mutual acquaintance and information exchange. These consultations are held with one of the psychiatrists and the lead psychologist of the centers.
The focus is on understanding the patient’s experience of illness and biography, as well as clarifying therapy goals and individual treatment options. A proposal for the next steps is made, and an initial indicative therapy plan is drafted. With the patient’s consent, we inform the referring doctor or therapist in writing about the initial consultations.
If treatment takes place, the referring doctor will receive a detailed report on the progress and results of the therapy carried out with us.
Requirements for Day Clinic Treatment
- A stable living situation and the ability to attend therapy sessions independently and reliably.
- Patients between approximately 16 and 75 years old can be admitted.
- The duration of the intensive, multimodal day clinic therapy is approximately 8 weeks.
The various therapy offerings take place continuously. Therapy begins after assessment and discussion during the initial consultations. Generally, admission is possible within 2-3 weeks.
Costs
Unfortunately, we must charge for all of our services, as is the case in every medical practice. Billing at the Geissberg Medical Center is only done through the basic health insurance (KVG). The applicable tariff for all individual services at the Medizinische Zentrum Geissberg is, as in any medical practice, the TARMED tariff and applies to the benefits covered by basic insurance.
If you receive day clinic services from us (8- or 10-week program), large insurance companies like Sanitas and their subsidiaries are covered under the HSK contract with a daily flat rate of 210.-. Accident insurers have also joined this contract.
For these services, a cost approval request must be submitted to the trust doctor of your health or accident insurance. The Medizinische Zentrum Geissberg will submit this request, and your insurance company has 10 days to respond. The costs for the 8- or 10-week day clinic program will only be covered once your insurance approves the cost approval request.
Since the process typically takes about 2 weeks, early registration with us is beneficial. A rejection of the cost approval request by the Medizinische Zentrum Geissberg is rare, as insurers increasingly recognize the cost-effectiveness of day clinic treatment.
